Coworking Space

Ontinyent

The project accommodates a small coworking space for 8 people into a ground floor retail unit with an irregular boundary shape and a mezzanine space.

The primary objective was to rationalize the available space, creating a functional and visually appealing work environment.

The floor plan has been categorized into three distinct areas. The main area, featuring the working desks, is strategically positioned at the front to establish a direct visual connection with the street and maximize natural daylight. Wet areas are located along an edge to minimize noise and enhance privacy and meeting rooms and ancillary spaces are positioned towards the back.

The result is a fluid open space, characterized by a timeless and elegant atmosphere where architecture, materiality, and furniture are treated as a cohesive whole. A predominantly pale gray color palette, incorporating terrazzo and clay, pervades the intervention, punctuated by oakwood elements used for storage, desks, and partitions in an exercise of visually balanced composition.

Custom-designed hanging luminaires have been implemented to provide indirect lighting in the working areas, while the selection of seating furniture has been carefully curated to add touches of sophistication and refinement.
